LAFAYETTE, Indiana - Franciscan Health is proud to be the first in the state to offer exoskeleton technology for stroke rehabilitation. The Ekso GT robotic exoskelton is used for gait therapy in hopes of greater independence a better quality of life for a broad range of patients with paralysis due to stroke or spinal cord injury. With intuitive technology, the customizable suit gauges how much power the user is able to contribute and adapts to continuously deliver the appropriate level of support to complete every step. Users are able to take more steps or walk more naturally.

The Franciscan Health Inpatient Rehabilitation Center Lafayette is a nationally accredited comprehensive rehabilitation facility located on the fourth floor of the Central campus. The center accepts patients from adolescent through adult who have difficulty performing daily living activities, walking or moving about, talking, understanding or coping due to illness or injury.
