Franciscan Health Crown Point is proud to partner with Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago to deliver top-ranked inpatient care for newborns and young patients in Northwest Indiana.
Launched in 2024, the Lurie Children’s pediatric hospitalist team is dedicated to evaluating and treating pediatric inpatients - from infancy through adolescence - at Franciscan Health Crown Point from across Northwest Indiana and beyond. The partnership allows for board-certified/board-eligible Lurie Children’s pediatricians to provide daily management of pediatric inpatients, in-house care 24/7 in the pediatric inpatient unit, coordination of care with the child’s pediatrician, management of care for newborns and pediatric consultations in the emergency department.
The pediatric hospitalist partnership expands on the collaboration between Lurie Children’s and Franciscan Health Crown Point that brought one of the nation's top neonatology programs to Northwest Indiana. Since 2022, Lurie Children’s neonatologists staff the 20-bed Level III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at the Franciscan Health Family Birth Center Crown Point, caring for the most vulnerable babies.
The Franciscan Health Crown Point partnership with Lurie Children’s Hospital provides compassionate care for young patients, close to home, when families need it most.
