Our Approach
While most people with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) experience long term restless tendencies, many seek treatment or develop techniques to manage with their symptoms. Behavioral therapy and stimulant medications are the most common treatments for people with ADHD.
Because ADHD frequently exists alongside other conditions, such as a learning disability or an anxiety disorder, it can be hard to diagnose. Your doctor may request a physical exam, medical and family histories, individual interviews and observations, and tests to analyze intelligence, learning disabilities and personality.
What is ADHD?
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is often characterized by short attention span, hyperactivity and impulsivity. Other hallmarks of ADHD include difficulty concentrating, impatience and a delay in performing tasks (tendencies to procrastinate).
