What is the difference between a Gastroenterologist and an Interventional Gastroenterologist?

A general Gastroenterologist is able to diagnose and treat GI issues. They perform standard procedures that typically include things like colonoscopy and endoscopy imaging.  

An Interventional Gastroenterologist has additional and specialized training that goes beyond general diagnostic colonoscopies and utilizes advanced techniques to diagnose and treat more complicated and challenging gastrointestinal issues.
