Paramedicine is a program to improve and monitor health through regularly scheduled home visits from a medical professional. This program is currently offered at Franciscan Health Crawfordsville and serves Montgomery County and surrounding areas.
Someone who signs up for the Paramedicine program could receive:
- Wellness check-ins
- Help with medicine, such as working with family to help understand how to manage medications
- Additional medication if needed
- Help setting up an appointment with your doctor
- Medical monitoring, such as weight and blood pressure
This program can vary from patient to patient and offers scheduled checks that typically are anywhere from one to three times a week.
Who can get paramedicine services?
This program is available for any adult over the age of 18. It is ideal for those who are diagnosed with a chronic condition, such as ;diabetes, COPD or heart failure.

The Montgomery County Community Paramedicine Program is partnership between Franciscan Health, the City of Crawfordsville, Montgomery County Health Department, Indiana State Department of Health, Montgomery County Community Foundation, Wabash College and the Women's Resource Center of Montgomery County.
