When a patient needs care, a Franciscan Health sports medicine physician will perform a thorough evaluation that may include diagnostic testing (such as MRI, CT or ultrasound). Based on the results of the evaluation, the physician may prescribe any number of treatment options for the injury, including:
- Physical therapy
- Occupational therapy
- Orthotics, braces or other protective devices
- Surgery
- Follow-up care
