At Franciscan Health, our team of obstetricians and medical staff provides you and your baby with the best care possible during and after pregnancy.

We provide a personalized approach to delivery where you and your obstetrician discuss a birth plan and expectations. During this conversation you may decide on your medication, delivery room and specialty services preferences.

For those considering adoption, Franciscan has processes in place to compassionately care for all of our patients and strives to approach each circumstance from a place of love.

We offer a variety of pregnancy and delivery care options including:

• Pre-registration to make things easier when come in for delivery
• Prenatal education, baby care and parenting classes

• SleepSack for every baby, so you can know that he or she is sleeping safely

Additionally, some of our locations also offer maternal-fetal medicine (specialty care for complicated or high-risk pregnancies), aromatherapy and free car seat safety inspections and education.

Obstetrics vs gynecology

Obstetricians focus primarily on pregnancy and delivery. Gynecologists handle issues with menstrual cycles, sexually transmitted diseases, pelvic screening, pap smears and more. An OBGYN is a doctor who has specialization in both obstetrics (OB) and gynecology (GYN).
