Franciscan Health gives women access to OBGYNs, family medicine doctors with additional training in obstetrics, nurse practitioners, doulas and midwives who specialize in comprehensive, individualized women's healthcare. From pap smears, to complete prenatal and post-pregnancy care, to the treatment of menstrual and incontinence conditions, our providers are here for you.

What Is An OBGYN?
An OBGYN is a physician who specializes obstetrics (OB) and gynecology (GYN), or in other words a specialist in the field of woman's health and the reproductive system. Obstetrics is centered around pregnancy and delivery. Gynecology is centered around female reproductive health and includes things like cervical cancer screening, annual exams, diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting female reproductive organs. An OBGYN has specialization in both obstetrics and gynecology.
