The Center for Hip & Knee Surgery performs about 2,500 joint replacements each year treating patients from all over the Midwest, the nation and the world and instructing hundreds of surgeons in the latest techniques and methods for implantation of joint implants.
Robotic-Assisted Surgical Technology
No two joints are the same. That's why robotic surgery can help personalize a surgical plan, especially when it comes to joint replacement surgery. With robotics, surgeons are able to cut less, which can mean less soft tissue damage and greater bone preservation for some patients.
This technology allows surgeons to create a personalized plan based on each patient's unique anatomy before entering the operating room. During surgery, the physician can validate that plan and make any necessary adjustments while guiding the robotic arm to execute the plan.
